    Yeah, once the black guy’s out, deficits are no longer of any importance! Spend like it isn’t your money! Debt? What’s that? Oh, yeah, that thing we no longer care about! Run it up! Let the next Democratic president have to fix it, like always.

    Sad, but true. Repugs only care about budget deficits when they are not holding the purse strings. I have never been able to figure out if it’s just demagoguery, or they are truly clueless.

    I pointed out to a T-voter that he was cutting subsidies for health care at the same time he was instituting huge subsidies for coal. The voter said that insurance companies were getting rich off Obamacare. Interesting, because just a week earlier he had claimed the problem with Obamacare was that insurance companies were going bankrupt. Alternative facts, I guess.

    The beauty of the human brain holding all kinds contradictory junk neatly compartmentalized to keep them from clashing. Actually that is so ugly.

    DECEITFUL GUILE – {rhyme}

    Their budgeting-mantra is “X” for a while,

    but later they switch to say “Y” is their style.

    We’ll wait and see

    whether soon they’ll say “Z”.

    Their fiscal “policies” are deceitful guile.

    THE GHOST OF REAGAN – {rhyme}

    The ghost of Reagan continues his jive

    that benefits for All will surely derive

    from helping the Rich get Further enriched.

    Ron had his audience bamboozled, – bewitched

    even while things got even More glitched:

    The rich got enriched while our nation got ditched.

    Don’t worry, I’m sure we have many competent, world class, advanced degree, accomplished economists in this Congress and we can trust their judgement. We always send our best and brightest to DC, don’t we?

    The only time the GOP cares about budget deficit is when they can blame a Democrat for them. The Regressive Republicans have no accountability for their actions, why would they suddenly know what they were doing when it comes to the economy?

    The 1% have all the money and should be taxed, wages have been stagnant for the average person for 40 years.

    Republicans want to gut the health care system and tax poor people to pay for tax breaks for the rich while increasing the debt.

    If you are tired of right wing greed and insanity, stop voting for them.

    Enter The Concern Troll.

    There are two ways of disagreeing with someone. One is to disagree openly. The other is to say, “I support you, but you’re doing it wrong.”

    The second is insidious.

    The second is condescending, insincere, manipulative. It even says so in the Urban Dictionary definition.

    The darkest moment is always just after the concern trolls start pouring in.

    “I’m with you,” the concern troll says. “But surely you must see how this looks to people. Not me, of course. But other people. They might think horrible things of you. People might think you were self-centered, fat, slow, rude. Not me, of course. I’m with you. I have your best interests at heart. That’s why I want to warn you. I, you see, know how this ought to be done.”

    It was never about slashing the budget. It’s who can profit from changing the budget. If you can privatize or contract out public works, or even the military (Blackwater) and you can cut out taxes on the corporations overcharging the public, well that’s a win win.

    BOZHI, please review the comments under AJMSDCA’s comment. Deficits were blamed on Obama because he added the Bush 43 war costs to the budget and he also removed some Bush accounting tricks. Your equivalency claims are false.

    Does it really matter? Our deficit used to be millions, then billions, now trillions. And I can’t name one country that isn’t in deep debt. So, what are the consequences?
