Some who kneel are not seeking hero status.

@"jlocke" the most patriotic display of respect and love for our beloved country is to honor the ideals upon which it was founded. Those ideals have been systematically, tragically, and compulsively gutted by the divisive insanity of trump. Everything he touches degrades the country and its moral standing. We will have to get past this dark era and pass sweeping legislation for the founding ideals of this country to be codified and not destroyed. Behaviors that were shunned are now embraced openly. (Release of tax returns and stiff penalties for self dealing and conflicts, for example) Lying is normalized. Divisiveness is a daily drumbeat. Right now we need to remove the tumor and put ourselves on a bit of chemo.

If you support this man and his minions you are displaying the most vile lack of respect for truth, honor, ethics, justice, freedom, and comity among our citizenry.

Every single supporter of trump should be massively ashamed of themselves right now for assisting our country’s descent into obscenity.

The difference between Patriotism and Jingoism:

“Patriotism” is an attachment to or a love for a particular country.

“Nationalism” can be the same sort of enthusiasm for a state or country, but it can extend into loyalty to the state.

“Jingoism” is a tendency to justify unfairness and bad behavior with nationalist excuses.

I find it hilarious that, when someone kneels before God it’s showing respect, but when one kneels during the national anthem, it “showing disrespect”. Now, if they were mooning the spectators, that would be disrespect…..

Athletes should never be considered heroes; they are merely entertainers.

To me this image on this page is showing a firefighter’s grief at the destruction of what he or she has dedicated their lives to protect and friends fallen in that battle. In a larger way, it’s a grief over the dismantling of the regulations of the EPA. By Taking Back the restrictions and regulations over the clean air, water, and anti-pollution laws that we had come so far to put on the books. Firefighters are heroes just as much as our fallen soldiers on the fields of battle. Firefighters died while fighting for our homes & property, for our forests and fields. It seems we lose more firefighters every year to the horrendous fires that keep happening in this country as global warming changes our weather patterns and makes fire seasons longer and more dangerous. For those of you wine lovers out there, grieve for the Napa Sonoma vineyards. While the rest of us grieve for the beautiful forests that are gone and will take years if not centuries, to grow back to their former glory. I will grieve for the fallen firefighters who are definitely Heroes of the first order.

Yeah, all military training involves open discussion of everyone’s thoughts about issues. Differences of opinion are always encouraged and never punished.

BTW, what does their pay have to do with it? Are they more disrespectful the more they are paid? If someone is poor, is it okay for them to protest how blacks are treated?

So it is okay for a white guy to disrespect the flag?

I think it is funny when white people tell black people how they are allowed to protest.

Could the RWNJs show their concern for military veterans by getting their Congressmen to fund mental health care for them? [ Far too many veterans are committing suicide each and every day! ]
