Praise be, His divine leadership of our armed forces has slain ISIS. Well a few folks will believe this storyline.

So, ISIS surrendered, and the extremist idea of a caliphate is dead?

What I hear now is, Al Qaeda is back to leading in terrorism, and just eliminating the strongholds of ISIS doesn’t eliminate the ISIS program.

You can’t erase a false idealism, look at all the republicans who are enjoying running the American democracy into the ground.

Barbel is a Republican so he would credit Trump. Just as he tried to imply that Trump deserves credit for Obama’s economic recovery.

So, it’s all Trump? And just where was this war going before the demonized Russia and Iran entered the fray?

Trump didn’t do anything that wasn’t planned under Obama. The US military was a bit player in this, anyway. Assad, Iran & Russia are the winners here. Iran emerges as the main ally & prop of the Syrian & Iraqi governments. If you want to accept that as a better outcome than the continued existence of the Islamic State, fair enough. Trump seems to think bellicose words will somehow reimpose American influence. He’s sorely mistaken at the willingness of our EU allies to reimpose sanctions on Iran. Anyone who thinks Russia or China will sanction Iran for Trump the way they did for Hillary Clinton is delusional. Trump’s talk is antagonizing Iran, but short of a major war, he has no influence.

No doubt, Varvel will be drawing ayatollahs with missiles, next.

Who knew heel spurs could be so powerful? I’m sure the Vietnam war would have ended in victory 6 months after he was drafted.

Bullshit. ISIS is not dead. Nor is Al Quaeda. If it were we could do away with the security crap and practices. Also, `it was Putin who done the deed, not Trump.

I am reminded that the US thought we had prevailed in Viet Nam .. then came the Tet Offensive.

Trump took credit for the fact that ISIS is in retreat, attributing key victories against the terror group to the “big, big difference” he has made on the military since assuming the presidency. he failed to highlight the fact that the fight in Iraq and Syria has long been led by an array of local forces – with the US and coalition members actin in a supporting role. Trump has very little to do with ISIS being in retreat, but it isn’t like he has anything else going for him. Of course he will take credit for what has gone right.

So you destroy the buildings. The cockroaches will just run for cover and breed out of sight. We need a plan that is well thought out to exterminate them where they hide. Small chance of that happening in this mis-management.

Let’s see. US Soldiers in Africa, keeping ISIS from popping up in under-governed, unprotected areas. Sec State is mad because Chad won’t play, puts them on the naughty list. Chad pulls support for American troops. American troops die. One dies after waiting two days for pick up. That, boys and girls, is Mr. Trumps military leadership.
