PERFECT, MIke! I’m sick of them saying using your First Amendment RIGHTS insults the military who fight, are wounded, or die, defending those rights! Yep, disabled vet, son a disabled vet. The toon shows the anti-American “troops” that need to be deported.
With all the situations ongoing with this country, the idiot spends a million of our tax dollars shipping Pence and his minder plus all the Secret Service people to a football game and back just to make a display of leaving. How come the officer standing next to that d__k didn’t raise his arm in a salute during the anthem?
Hey, isn’t walking out on the National Anthem insulting? And who chose to connect the troops to the anthem anyway, as if it wasn’t meant for all of us?
How many of the people whining about the players taking a knee ACTUALLY stand at attention AT HOME while the National Anthem is being played?? Most of them stay sprawled in their recliners with their chips and beer, and if they are in the stadium, they are in line for more beer and hot dogs!
I have made this comment before but I think it’s worth repeating: It is so funny that people complain that athletes are over paid. All entertainers are probably over paid when compared to teachers, policemen and fire fighters etc. But that is a part of what living under capitalism brings you. Supply and demand etc. I notice the complainers never think about what it took those millionaires to achieve that pay scale. The incredibly long hours spent learning the craft that probably started when they were in middle school or younger. The hours spent working out and the pain endured to develop the skills needed to become one of the few elites to succeed at the highest professional level. There are thousands of athletes in our high schools, some of them go on to college and fewer still actually make it in the ranks of the professionals. The dedication it takes to become one of the millionaires in sports is admirable. Many of these athletes the right have chosen to despise had few options open to them to raise themselves and to make better lives for themselves and their families yet for some reason the haters are so jealous that these people have put in the hard work and dedication to become successful that they choose to ridicule and hate. If they had applied themselves as hard as the people they have chosen to despise they might have been millionaires themselves.
If a British subject kneels before Queen Elizabeth, is he being disrespectful?
If a devout parishioner kneels in church, is she disrespecting God?
If an ardent swain kneels before his beloved while proposing, does he hate her?
Was that gal from Kent State disrespecting the student shot by the Ohio National Guard?
OK, I’ll grant that anyone kneeling before Daenerys Targaryen or General Zod was probably doing so more out of fear than admiration, but you get the idea. When did kneeling become equated with lack of respect?
As a veteran ,who supports a persons right to protest , I would like to offer a suggestion as to when the protesters could get the maximum exposure for their cause without pissing off the MORON in the W.H. . Whose righteous indignation would be provoked if they staged their protest DURING AFTERNOON TEA AT McDONALDS. This whole scenario of anger is an attempt to divert attention from the REAL justification for the protests— unjustifiable police brutality against Afro-Americans.
In case you are interested…“Why is the NFL getting massive tax breaks while at the same time disrespecting our Anthem, Flag and Country? Change tax law!” Trump wrote in a post on Twitter.
It was not clear what exactly Trump was demanding since the NFL gave up its tax-exempt status in 2015. The White House did not reply to requests for comment.

Those players are committing heresy against the state religion of flag worship.

For a political cartoon to be effective, it needs an element of truth.

Vile. Absolutely disgusting. The anthem is a celebration of our military, their power and dedication.
