    Observations, facts, math, and science get in the way of alternate realities, so are ignored.

    The climate is changing folks.. and the process is continuous. We.. are still recovering from the last ice age. The depth of permafrost continues to rise and move North. The temperature of the ocean at depth continues to increase from the nominal 4 degrees. Glaciers continue to recede. These are but a few long long term processes.

    Argue on stopping pollution.. (stop drinking bottled water!) but the climate will change with or without mans influence.

    Read up on what happens with the desalinization of the ocean currents. Read up on what happens to the air currents as the ocean warms up. Read up on what happens to the world. There is no excuse for ignorance. Knowledge increases every day…. it never stops. Complacency is a sign of stupidity. If you’re complacent,. you are stupid… And the bad things that are happening are partly your fault because you are allowing them to happen through stupidity….. Fight stupidity!….. Read!!!!!!

    Thank heaven no rich people seem to be affected. That would be a real tragedy.

    Lichtentunes thinks NASA and NOAA scientists are liars, and the Fossil fuel industry is pure as the driven snow. Y’all played alot of football I’d bet.

    The lead in gasoline didn’t hurt you;

    Asbestos only protected you;

    Tobacco never caused cancer;

    United Fruit Company (Chiquita bananas) never overthrew a government;

    Union Carbide plant kept a safe operation in Bohpal, India.

    WellPoint’s Breast Cancer Algorithm was never used to rescind insurance coverage for women with cancer Dx’s;

    Wal-Mart never locked in illegal alien janitors overnight between 1998 and 2003;

    Goldman Sachs never sold Investors a Doomed-to-Fail Fund (CBO’s);

    Enron never manipulated energy prices;

    Arthur Andersen never shredded incriminating documents pertaining to its advisory and auditing of Enron;

    Now CO2 doesn’t cause Climate Change.

    Exxon became aware of climate change early …

    Exxon Knew about Climate Change Almost 40 Years Ago

    The company’s knowledge of climate change dates back to July 1977, when its senior scientist James Black delivered a sobering message.

    A Paleo Perspective on Global Warming

    The first decade of the 21st century was the warmest of the entire global instrumental temperature record, starting in the late-19th century. The 14 years from 2000 to 2013 rank among the 18 warmest, which makes these high temperatures unusual over the period of instrumental measurements.

    Paleoclimatology offers help in answering each of these questions. Several of the paleoclimate studies reported in this web document have begun efforts to attribute past climate change to both natural and human causes, and to estimate how much of the current warming is due to humans (i.e., greenhouse warming). The best estimate is that more than 50% of the observed global warming is due to greenhouse gas increases.

    We keep belching out toxins from fossil fuels and the storms keep getting worse. But until you can show the Reich-wing direct proof, Chapter AND verse, there is nothing that will convince them that those highfalutin scientists know nothin. As long as that CEO had a good quarter, who cares how many people die, right?
