Interesting fact: Most countries’ national anthems are about their country (for example O Canada), while the United States’ national anthem is one of a handful (5) that is about the flag. Sure, it talks about the land of the free and the brave, but it’s mostly about a flag surviving a battle. Other popular subjects of national anthems are about battles or people (like God Save the Queen).
