With the ice caps melting, lots of ice floes to set adrift the old people.

I’m waiting for Kurt Vonnegut’s “purple-roofed Ethical Suicidal Parlors” to replace nursing homes.

Actually, it’s worse than that. The newest Republican “healthcare” plan reduces by a substantial amount the monies brought in by health insurance (removes the ‘mandate’) and then passes the ACTUAL decision on who gets what to the individual states to decide! And states that refused to participate in the Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act initially will get more financial funds from the Feds than will the states that elected to give their citizens access to better healthcare, initially! By 2026, of course, all states get major cuts in the monies they are forced to administer by themselves. Pre-existing conditions are still covered – it’s just that the states have absolute control over how much that coverage costs the insured and, if the state says it’s covered at the same ‘rate’ as everyone else, the insurance company is allowed to cover that cost by ‘jacking’ up the cost of insurance for everybody – so you KNOW that’s going to happen! So sick people’s premiums go through the roof, kids like Jimmy Kimmel’s kid die while the parents are ‘beggered’, while healthy people don’t even have to join! So everybody loses while Congress can say, without technically lying, that they haven’t reduced ‘benefits’ at all. This is WAY BEYOND hypocritical!

^^ Yeah, the ACA was written by that well known liberal organization: The Heritage Foundation and piloted by that sleazy socialist Mitt Romney!

Ah, it’s irrelevant because you declare it so.

“The Democrats and they alone” Except for the Independents Joe Lieberman who killed the public option and Bernie Sanders. (You might have heard of the second one?)

“33,000 page” Yeah, Healthcare only affects 1/6th of our economy. I can’t imagine why they didn’t compress it down to a couple of pages.

“Changed Congressional rules… (constitutionally questionable)” The Senate can change the rules of it’s side and the House can change their side. Please point to the part in the Constitution that says otherwise.

“bribed their own members to vote” You might be talking about “earmarks” which were how business was done until John Boehner “Changed Senate rules” in 2010. (Which you declared ‘constitutionally questionable’)

The GOP added and were duly passed 188 amendments to the ACA. Yes, it was true that the GOP chose not to vote for it after all that.

    https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/07/21/us/health-care-amendments.html

I’ll ignore your (now demonstrated by the above) Psychological Projection of ‘my’ tap dance, point fingers, throw out misinformation, misdirection and lies.

    Your rebuttal with Citation please?

Difficulty: Fox “News”, Breitbart, your or your friends’ blog, Far Right / Conspiracy (rationalization) ‘theory’ sites will get you laughed at, insulted, and dismissed as an intellectual featherweight.

@SFCGaTor So you got nuthing, eh?

Well you did have a NY Times Blog that agreed that most of the GOP amendments offered were accepted. And if the GOP amendments were ‘technical’, who’s fault was that?

Oh, yes…. You had weak, sad insults, just like your hero President Dotard… I mean Donald Trump.

@sfcgator…dude…your polemics are just plain nonsense. The Heritage Foundation provided the framework for the insurance-driven program adopted by Massachusetts under then Governor Romney. Congress never exempted themselves. Please look up Dunning Kruger for details of how the easily led dig in deeper when facts contradict their beliefs.

Oh, and setting the record straight for you on a couple of other items…President Obama was born in Hawaii, not Kenya. And there were no fine people marching with the Nazis, racists and traitors in Charlottesville. And Clinton won the popular vote by about 3 million more votes than your mentally ill “president."

Republican’s pre-existing condition was they don’t care about the little people. The rich will get richer, and a few poor will die, they don’t care. If they did care, they wouldn’t put forth such incompetent bills to fail.
