Evidently Poncho does not. Poncho, this is an important tool of human dominance. You really should learn!

@DENNISINSEATTLE: Poncho would need an opposing thumb to operate a can opener. It’s why humans who feed critters from cans will always be in control…

Turn the can upside down and rub it vigorously on a concrete surface until the metal wears through. Then the top can be removed with a screwdriver or pair of pliers. Saw it on YouTube.

Dogs would rule the world, if only they could operate the can opener.

The problem is not the can and not the tool. The problem is the fool.

“We beat it out flat; we beat it back square; we battered it into every form known to geometry—but we could not make a hole in it. Then George went at it, and knocked it into a shape, so strange, so weird, so unearthly in its wild hideousness, that he got frightened and threw away the mast….”

The problem is that he distorted the top of the can cannot be opened with a can opener any longer. The problem with most cans these is that you cannot turn them upside down and open it that way.
