Oh, look at Voss’s face in the last panel when he realizes he can’t make Wolfe envious of his “skill” (which I think he “picked up” from the virtuoso whose concerto Wolfe was going to attend).

Sigh! He’s still trying to one-up Wolfe. I was kind of hoping that he had given up on that or had at least realized the danger he was in with Envy and was trying to get help. Not expecting, mind you, but kind of hoping. Perhaps he still will. Maybe even before it’s too late for him.

schrecklich = Dreadful (per Google Translate). At least Voss has learned some tact, only calling it a “singular performance” in the players’ language. Wolfe is being Wolfe, suggesting a cooperative approach. Another learning opportunity for Voss? We can hope.

Voss, seriously…all evidence has demonstrated that Wofle is impossible to make jealous, so stop wasting your time trying.

Somehow Voss will still feel like he lost no matter how well Wolfe plays.

And as they make beautiful music together, Voss will finally realize that he has been wasting his time and (ahem!) talents on trying to make someone who just wanted to be his friend jealous.

    Hopefully…

When it comes to trying to make Wolfe jealous, Voss will reign supreme as the King of Wishful Thinking.
