I actually did read an article recently about how doctors had managed to create a prosthetic hand that could interface with the wearer’s nervous system and synthetically simulate feelings of touch, as well as normal range of motion you’d expect from a hand. So I’d say we’re at least getting close. But still not a chrome skull or LED eye, though.
