well, this somehow won’t be a problem if they had just one pet (preferably in a cage, a terrarium, or an aquarium)

I see Earl survived the trash can. We seem to have similar problems here with all the cats. I hope we can get some into new homes, if for no other reason than the food bills are so darn high and the emptied cans take up much of the recyclables bin every week.

A friend once had a house rabbit, which would come and sit next to us when we visited.

One of our cats is a giant with a huge mane of blue-gray fur

He likes to lay on the living room floor on his back, all twisted up

We say he’s broken when he does that, and apparently only tummy rubs can fix him

LOL my cat Felicia is a Maine Coon and she always flops herself in the middle of the floor, she’s there even now. She has just got herself a new nickname TYVM Queen of America.

When Buster and then new one lay in the living room floor, it is the same thing. I am afraid that I will step on one of them. Of course, they also stick their tails out so there is less floor to walk on. I call them my furry rugs.

Go to India. You step over a dog lying in the shade. When you come back the dog has moved but only because the shade has moved.

This reminds me of a friend, father figure. He says that occasionally he would be walking through the house and wouldd find his wife layed out on the floor, face down, praying with the dog laying protectively near by. He would step over her and say, ‘’Dead wife.’’ Then over the dog and say, ‘’Dead dog.’’ And chuckle as he walked into the kitchen. Yes, my dear morbid friend, I love you.

You might miss it when it’s gone Earl. One of the saddest feelings I’ve had was after having my last dog put down, catching myself still hesitating to make sure i didn’t trip over him
