OK,that’s just silly. But following Dear Leader’s practice. ‘If you’ve nothing to say, then make stuff up’…. and what a stuff-up he’s made of it so far.

Interesting. In fact, I doubt that Lee would have opposed transgender troops. He was constantly short of troopers. No one in this country cared about gays in the military until Protestant extremist hate groups began flexing their political muscles following WWII.

Robert E. Lee inherited slaves which he thought was a pain, but he also refused to free them until well into the war. He thought keeping slaves was inconvenient but necessary. He fought a war against the United States. He approved of his men kidnapping free black people wherever they went to replace runaway slaves. The fact that he defended slavery and fought to destroy the US is reason enough to at least question what value he brought to the country in his capacity as general of the rebel army.

Just curious – did many protest President Gerald Ford when restored Lee’s citizenship in 1975?

Robert E. Lee rejected the idea of Confederate monuments, saying they ‘keep open the sores of war’.

I’d rather be defended by transgender troops than racist morons.
