I guess Mr. Ariail would be fine if there was a commemorative statue of Osama Bin Laden erected in the middle of his city.

You Crackers can have your Robert E. Lee, et al. statues when they put a statue of Benedict Arnold in front of West Point. Until then: BLOW THEM UP! No “memorials” to traitors!

Seriously? You’re comparing ISIS destroying art and ancient historical sites to removing an attempted white-wash of history the same thing? GeeeezusHCryst ! You are ignorant!!

Wow. A neo-Nazi murders a woman with a vehicle, ISIS-style, and this is the best you can come up with? No longer following Robert Arial on GoComics now.

Mr. Ariail would also condemn our U.S. Marines for toppling that statue of Saddam Hussein back in 2003. They showed America what to do to monuments extolling evil. Cleanse the moral fabric of our Nation by removing all the statues honoring that justifiably “lost cause”. Honoring treason is not heritage.

The statues are symbols of treason. The traitors killed loyal American citizens. There is no logical reason for erecting statues of the enemies of the United States. Most of the statues were put up during the Reconstruction Era and during the rise of the KKK. Heritage? Blow me

The memorials to traitors are very different than the ancient artifacts. There are many good things about the South - their music, their food, their hospitality - but this shuld not be included. Those statues were erected mostly, in reaction to civil rights movements, not to remember actual heroes. The tasks of critical thinking , and making assertions based on verifiable facts and logic seem to be completely absent in these alt-right policies.

I do not find this appropriate! Comparing Americans who do not celebrate racism and bigotry to Isis is demeaning. I am very disappointed.

Talk about false equivalency! This implies those who would remove symbols of oppression support ISIS and the Taliban who are themselves oppressors. I am ashamed of this cartoon.

ISIS tore down cultural treasures, not kitschy traitor memorials. This cartoon reveals a total bankruptcy of ideas to defend the indefensible.

Hey,Arial! Why is it that hundreds of statues of Confederate generals went up during the Jim Crow era, but no memorials celebrating Emancipation can be found in Southern towns?

Mr Arial can erect a comic to patriot Donald’s imaginary heal spurs and his devotion to the KKK and White Supremacy. A fake deferral is a rich man’s desertion to his country’s military service.

Those are the ISIS Trump inspired to join with his anti-Muslim rhetoric? I’m sure ISIS is happy with the neo-Nazi tactics. Was it ISIS that tore down the statue of Saddam Hussein? Loser confederate are the Saddam Hussein of our country. Tear them all down we don’t need your racist sentiments anymore.

CRIS, most of the Confederate statues were put up less than a century ago and their purpose was to intimidate black voters in the days of Jim Crow laws. The statues should be moved to a museum that can put the confederacy in perspective.

There are morons that are fulfilling Trump’s prediction of movements to remove statues of Washington, Jefferson, etc. because they owned slaves. A reverend asked "what should I tell my grandchildren about them owning slaves?‘. Answer – tell them the entire truth. Humans are imperfect creatures and they are influenced by their time period. If you’re old enough, think back to how many things were commonly said in the past that are completely unacceptable today. I do think we’ve gone too far on the PC side so people are afraid to talk about anything.
