In high school the girls called him sucker fingers , and they weren’t being nice.

He did excellent in the rope climb in gym class tho.

    Liverlips….

In this position, Arthur can see all around the room,

and it’s easier to make the soles of his feet face the ceiling.

But it’s really hard on his wrists.

If he faces the ceiling, he can put his hands flat….

but it’s hard to see things below…

and he has to crouch, pullling his knees up…. or, er… down?

… to make his feet stick.

A hard call …. so he went with the one that impressed Wilma most.

    Farside….

Only if he has strangely …um… fuzzy-ish feet and hands. Ewww….

And Rose…. good to see you!

    Just imagine those hugs… no…. don’t!

When Arthur says he’d like to be a fly on the wall, he really means it.But Wilma will wipe that smile off of his face when she rolls up that paper and swats him.

Wait a minute, I forgot that is what he is hoping for.

I can’t decide whether Wilma likes Arthur’s gripping “extremities” in the bedroom, or if she’s had a “headache” for the last 39 years…

    WRITE to the moderators please.

    Moderator@gocomics.com

They have said in emails that they DON’T read comments in the forum, or pay attention to messages attached to avatars.

Don’t write via the “contact us” link… that’s customer service and will only delay any action, including a meaningful response.

Afficionado was banned on his birthday!

I went to AC to post greetings, and discovered that he’d already hinted that it was a special day.

A few of us said “Happy Birthday” ….

and apparently, he was repeatedly flagged by those who think they get to control what may be posted there.

AFAIK, NOTHING he did was contrary to the Terms of Service. There’s NO reason they shouldn’t allow him back, but the wheels grind slowly.

While you’re at it, write about Dogsniff and Bruno Zeigerts, as well…. also banned.

I don’t have contact with Bruno, and he may have given up.

Dogsniff posts his e-mail address on his Profile Page, and can also be found on FaceBook….

    Joe Fanelli in Athol MA

Right now, comments from banned posters still appear on their Profile pages, even if they’re invisible in the forums where they make them.

So if you post in a forum someone reads, check the person’s profile for a response.

With no visible comments or avatars to click, you may have to find it with Google, and bookmark it…

but here are those three Profiles to start.

Bookmark them, if you’d like to check them again:

    Affi : http://www.gocomics.com/profile/2064938

    Dogsniff : http://web.gocomics.com/profile/1319879

    Bruno : http://www.gocomics.com/profile/2432948

I have to admit reading Affi bothered me. You know how I got over it? I simply stopped reading his comments. It was easy and painless for everyone. Bring him and the others back! THIS IS THE LAND OF FREE SPEECH! Even though Affi doesn’t live here, I do, and free expression is important.

    WoodEye….

I wish others would do that too.

Unless a post is truly offensive, ie racist, vulgar, attacks another poster, uses family-inappropriate language, or something else outside the bounds of decency….

    just scroll on past!

Three seconds out of your life vs trying to get a fellow GoComics user in trouble, or banned from the site, just for posting something you’d prefer not to read??

Meanwhile… I’ve generally had good luck corresponding with moderators here.

I try to keep it very polite….

Being rude or critical doesn’t make friends who want to help you, or to understand your side.

Remember, they’re NOT autonomous, nor did they write the TOS.

Often their choices are dictated by written rules, and they have to argue our cases with their own supervisors.

GoComics, or rather, Universal UClick, OWNS this site.

They pay for it, including cartoonists, web hosting, moderators, and other personnel….

Some people persist in thinking this is public property, and it’s NOT.

We’re here with permission, just like guests in your home,

and if it’s revoked, we may have to explain, apologise, and/or ask politely…..

but no matter what we would like, or believe is right, we can’t demand.

Here’s a thought…. If you want the moderators to read your well thought out comments, flag yourself. Just a thought.

No! Flagging yourself can be quite counter-productive.

Mods were supposed to read all flagged comments, and decide what should be removed… and after having a few comments deleted, a poster used to be banned.

As proven by the people they’ve banned this year for no apparent reason, either the rules changed, or sometimes they just don’t have time to do it that way.

I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t have banned Affi for innocuous birthday chatter had they read it.

And the individual comment deletion, which used to be a warning, doesn’t even seem to happen any more.

Flag yourself enough, and you just might see a forum comment like “I wonder where WoodEye has been,” meaning your posts are now invisible too.
