As I am writing this, it has been 27 consecutive days since Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal last posted in GoComics. I have been a loyal follower of the strip both here and on its website for many years, and I consider it a curiosity that Mr. Weinersmith has not posted a single strip these past nearly four weeks. In the years I have seen this strip on GoComics, I have seen gaps of several days between published strips from time to time, but, to my knowledge, I have not seen a dearth of published SMBC strips running this long. One can only wonder how much longer it will be before Mr. Weinersmith posts another SMBC strip for the first time in a long while. Let us who are among the strip’s loyal readers look forward to its return to GoComics.
Yeah, ZW is pretty prolific, especially with all the extra strips he was doing to support his book launch. I too wonder what the disconnect is, and I’ll give it a little longer before giving up.
