P1, He’s 30, has a bum knee and it’s been a good 15 years since he last played football. He’d be a great addition at Wake Forest if only he hadn’t already used up his college eligibility.
Tru(E) has already proven to be a better coach than Gil but this is ridiculous even by Gil’s less than lofty standards.
P3, Gee, Trey, where are you going to find those kinds of people in Milford?
Harold Carmichael, a 6’10" wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles in the 60’s would routinely battle Pat Fischer, a defensive back who was generously listed at 5’8" for the Redskins twice a year to a draw in what always looked like a mismatch. Of course the rules were much different then than they are now, as DB’s were actually able to touch, and in many cases, mug the receivers they were covering, and Fischer was one of the best in the game at the mugging part. Still, some of the great DB and WR battles ever were between these two and were great to watch. So careful what you wish for, Tru(E).
Oh, and the Skins had another undersized DB who managed to be pretty good for 20 years and made the Hall of Fame. Darrel Green.
P1 That’s Tru true, but Jaquan does not like to get hit or go over the middle. P3 Muscle head walks on Jaquan, seriously??? Does he really want to pass up the ridiculeous amount of money he was being paid?….. Hopefully this is the end of possibly one of the worst story lines in this strips history.
Rick Barry once showed up at a Raiders practice and wanted to suit up and catch a few passes. Head coach John Madden thought that such stunts were silly wastes of time and only used by other sports athletes for getting attention. He instructed his two all-pro DBs George Atkinson and Jack Tatum to treat him like any other player who dared to step on the field. Barry wisely decided not to go through with his plan.

Seriously, Trey – you’re going to abandon your meal ticket right there with Coach Burns lurking ready to take your place?

Where did Burns and Pelwecki come from? Talk about killing a summer.

Unclear on the hand action in P2. A cupped unrequited low-five?

What’s with Gil and Mimi in p1? She appears to be pleading with him.

TE have to be able to block and are as likely to deal with OLBs as CBs, aren’t they?

Considering the cast of characters we known exist, Trey may be looking for these people for some time.

P-1: Tru is the only QB I’ve ever seen wearing driving gloves on both hands.
P-2: The insipid look on Tru’s face tells us what he and Marty were up to before this practice.
P-3: Trey actually does what we’ve wondered why everybody connected with this strip doesn’t do…LEAVE.
P-4: Jaquan awakens and realizes this Tru story was all a dream.
