Christian zealots like the evangelicals and Pence don’t care about what Jesus preached, they care about money, control and how to cherry-pick from the Old Testament. Divorce condemned in the Bible far more than homosexuality, abortion referred to and NEVER condemned, and anything can be ignored that is inconvenient like dietary laws and bans on blended fabrics. Jesus gave clear instructions about how the wealthy can get to heaven, but zealots have ignored that as well as Jesus’ instructions to care about each other, especially the poor. The only things they want to use religion for is to discriminate against, control others and to promote war against “those people”.
People like Pence think that since ‘God is on their side’ they can do no wrong. That is the current mindset of most of the the republican party. It is a very dangerous mindset.

Mike and the cabinet might be ready to use the 25th Amendment. Pence is a dangerous idiot as well, but he might, just might, not tweet, and he might even listen to his adivsors. We just would have to be alert to not amend the first amendment to make fundamentalist Christianity the state religion.
