I watched one season with Tom somebody or other. It was okay. I liked his sidekick Elizabeth a lot though.

I cannot stop smiling at the image of Vic and Liz showing up in modern day to solve crimes, right wrongs, and run around in a bunch of quarries and hallways.

My wife and daughters are gingers. They are only half as mad as usual at this Doctor change. At least old grumpy grandad Doctor is gone.

Still no bald guy. They did finally cast one as a companion this season, of course he’s not human.

I may have misread this story from the BBC, but one sentence gave me the impression her new companion could be played by an actor that had played the doctor in the past.

Semi-Related. I have a co-worker (male chauvinist) who stopped watching James Bond movies when Judi Dench was cast as ‘M’ (“It’s a man’s role, dammit”). Two years ago there was a rumor that the next 007 would be a female. Co-worker damn near experienced a China-Syndrome when he heard the news.
