I think it was around 1970, when Elvis was doing his comeback tour that I read a news report in which the reporter was shocked that most of the women attending were middle-aged. I do not know what he expected, as though he somehow expected that teen fans would somehow remain perpetual teens. FYI: My 79-year-old sister was one of his teenage fans.
