    So much for critics who say the women are always the grumpy ones on Ballard Street. Actually, for those of us simultaneously following BS 2007, the women have a lot of fun in that period.

    I, for one, am glad to see Alice in such good spirits. It tends to make her generous when she stops in at the Tiki on her way home from her bridge-playing and bridge-building club. And a nanner dak or three sounds really good about now.
