    Acromantula was the species of those talking intelligent spiders. We are never told from which part of the world they come from and now they live in part of that Dark Forest and very dangerous. (I speculated that it was a female spider from the fabled Plateau of Leng. In that mystic place all the spiders are intelligent and many grow to larger sizes and are carnivorous in their inclinations. Some of them even have stingers.)
