    Good morning Vagabonds.

Well, we had our third heat wave of the year yesterday.

Today will only be in the 80’s and next week will go down to the 70’s. They say that we can expect rain on Monday.

May everyone have an enjoyable weekend.

    Morning, Village!

    .

A word of advice. If your computer prompts you to download the Creators’ Edition of Windows 10, don’t do it! I’ve been fighting with this computer all week because of it. I downloaded and uninstalled it three times before I decided to just keep the current version. I even called Microsoft Tech Support. Got a little girl in Pakistan or someplace. I wound up teaching her more about Windows than she could teach me!

    Good morning, Vagabonds,

Sorry to hear of your computer problems. Unfortunately, I’ve had a recurring problem on this one. So, if I disappear for a few days, that’s why.

We’re heading up to Great Falls today for the Montana Air National Guard air show. WooHoo. Thunderbirds will be flying as well as some of the C-130s based there. Love those!

    Enjoy your day. Happy Trails.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

David, that’s good advice, except that with Windows 10, they don’t “offer” upgrades, they force them. I don’t like it much, but what’s the viable alternative?

McPheeters, I sent the Word document to you called “Ramblings of Shirttail Slim” this morning. Enjoy.

We are going to do a bit of travel today so that Michael can get practice driving this RV. So far, I have been the only one driving it. We are also going to hook up the car so we can both get practice towing. We’ll be out and back in by this afternoon as we are only going to Pahrump.

The forecast here is for 104, and the same for Pahrump. At least the humidity is still in the 30’s instead of the 80’s.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Welcome back Arye!!

Good afternoon Vagabonds. It is now our 5th day of heat advisory. It is 100 degrees here and feels like 110. Hopefully we will get rain tomorrow or Monday. I went to the Farmer’s Market, we had such a wet spring that there is a bumper crop of zucchini to the point that the Amish give you a free one with every purchase. Other than that it has been a quiet week here.

    Good Sunday morning Vagabonds.

Right now at 2:00 am eds, it is 72 but will only go to low 80’s in the afternoon.

Our granddaughter is going to drop by and show us her pictures of her wedding.

Other than that, nothing else is scheduled.

    Have a good day.

Good morning, Vagabonds (It’s 2:10 AM here in Berlin). Being able to make comments was just a matter of remembering my password. I’m enjoying so much visiting with my newly-found relatives. We are 3rd cousins.

OOPS! I meant that it’s 7:10 AM here; my computer clock is still on EDT – I must remember to add 5 hours when calculating the time.

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

Welcome back, Arye. We have missed your comments.

Yesterday was an eye-opener. Nothing really went wrong, but it was so hot that simple things like hooking up the towed vehicle took such a long time because we had to go stand in the shade so often. Then we took some time to make sure we both know how much allowance we need to make for the additional length in making turns. Fortunately there is a Target with a huge section of empty parking lot nearby. We were able to move up and down aisles and make tight right and left turns trying to avoid the curbs. It was good practice, and neither of us hit anything.

This RV has a whole different set of squeaks and rattles than the old one did, so we are still getting used to it. We did have a very nice drive, probably about 100 miles, pulling the Fit behind us.

Another quiet Sunday coming up after church.

    Everyone have a blessed day.

    Good (late) morning, Vagabonds,

Good to see you Arye! And, I enjoy hearing about your visit in Berlin with your family. That is so wonderful!

It was very hot at the air show, but there were aircraft on static display that we hadn’t seen before, so it was worth it. The flying display was awesome as always. Sure loved the powerful F-18’s! Because I was having a hard time with the heat and my back, I went back to the car, slowly, sitting and resting every once in a while (I had my rollater). I can’t believe the number of military that came and offered assistance! Very caring people we have! Of course I took the offer of sitting in their tent with ice water, and enjoyed their company. And then of telling them all a big THANK YOU for serving our country.

That’s all from the western front. Happy Trails.
