My Grandson had a favorite penguin when he was a toddler. He was so attached to it that his parents had to get another look alike just in case of emergencies.
My kid brother’s (the original was a rabbit, but when it wore out, our parents couldn’t find a new one, so they got a stuffed kitty and pronounced it to be a “kitty-rab”; and so they remained) had to be replaced annually.
