Trip to Ireland – vacation of a lifetime. Spent the first half sick with the flu. Somehow managed to drag myself to all the sites, sleeping on the tour bus in between stops.

My best Summer vacaton started in Spring when my older sister came down with the measles. Two week quarantine after the spots disappeared. Then an extension when my younger sister got sick. By the time I was ready to go back to school Summer vacation was coming into sight. It was then that my useless little brother actually did something useful. Became sicker than a spavined calf – measles. When I came off quarantine it was the last day of school. I still passed everything because I found out that one could do the lessons a hundred times faster at home than one did in the stifiling confines of school.
