That’s what I said last week!

Mary Lou’s old parent is already hanging around……

although not on their property.

Not sure where he lives now, but maybe still at the marina, after selling the restaurant.

Anyway, he and Mary Lou may have their little buttons they can push…. but they’re always glad to see him.

I think the kids are just family-oriented people… they’ve come to love the land, cooking, farming…

Don’t forget, Mary Lou is grateful to have a loving mother .in her life again,

and they both want all three parents close to Meg.

The line about “good help” is just a tease, to make Janis feel needed.

They’d been trying for a long time, a few years ago, but nothing was happening,

so they eased off on the pressure that was hurting their relationship.

They may still be trying, or maybe just not preventing….

but not so obsessively.

Having Arlo and Janis move up by Gene is the best idea I have seen for awhile in this comic. “Arlo and Janis” is ALWAYS better with Gene et al in the mix.

My only concern is that there won’t be any winter jokes anymore….

So, quit the good paying office job and work on the farm/restaurant for peanuts!
