My friends planned their ‘time share’ around their annual summer travel. They enjoyed ‘time share’ stays from Cancun to Sweden to Europe to Australia and Pacific Rim countries. Had a ball and actually made money when they finally sold.
They had a well thought-out plan long before they bought. I am guessing 90% or more of buyers do not, and they are the people left ‘on the hook’ for a no-longer used drain on their finances.
But, guess who is still smiling. That’s right, the guy who sold the original idea and is still hearing the jingle of coins hitting the pot. It was a good con while it worked but there are too many bodies still visible for it to attract many newbies.

It’s not easy, but not impossible to get rid of a time-share.
