Why does Bernice look so sad? Isn’t this what she wanted?

Oh by all Means, PLEASE fill Dez in on what just happened, Bernice.

That IS, if EVERYONE is Through Violating Curfew…..,

Funny, I seem to remember Piro saying the same thing recently. It seems like it was just yesterday.

Good line “Talk to me” Dez throws at Bernice. Dez already understands more than Bern does – and she knows Bern needs to unwind…

Why is Bernice embarrassed that Dez caught her kissing Piro?:

1.Coming back as late as she is and seeing them kissing, Dez will assume this is the end of a long evening of love-making and Bernice is reluctant to admit she wasted a whole evening alone with Piro reading lecture notes and she knows she is too inexperienced with men to be able to make up something even remotely believable.

2.Bernice has realized that since Dez came back after midnight and Tiffany came back after midnight, maybe this midnight curfew thing is not actually a real thing.

3.Bernice realized that as Piro was gently caressing her cheek, her arms were as rigid as steel beams at her side and fears this might be a giveaway to Dez of her true sexual preference. Yes, Bernice is trans. Transformer, robot in disguise.

4.Bernice’s short term memory is so terrible that she has completely forgotten the whole reason Dez was out late was so that Bernice could do precisely what she was doing with Piro.

5.Bernice knows the only reason she got kissed was because Piro has some kind of mental fixation on rescuing women in peril and she is afraid to pass on this psychoanalysis to Dez for fear that Dez will start suggesting outrageous things for Bernice to do in order to get Piro to rescue her again.

6.Bernice is completely shocked that Dez has started calling her by the nickname “Bee”, when she wanted to be called “Niecy”, like Niecy Nash, because they are so alike.

Dez may have sort of done Bernice a favor. Now Bern can pull her thoughts and emotions together about the development without having to respond awkwardly to Piro on the spur of the moment.

She’s utterly speechless. That’s a good start. Hopefully she won’t analyse it to death.

Bernice needs to go after Piro sans clothing and tell him that she needs help finding her clothes. Also, that she believes that they are in her room somewhere.

I hope Dez doesn’t have the munchies, since Bernice raided the snacks stash and fed it all to Piro!

Probably can’t say much for the moment- her motor’s running at redline.

I guess a new story arc begins tomorrow, now that Bernice got what she wanted.

Dang, she’s speechless. Piro must be one heck of a kisser. At least Dez’s appearance will help her sort things out verbally. Otherwise, just go with it. Don’t overthink it, don’t over analyze it. Just enjoy.

I know it’s just a comic, but it makes me glad to see something going right for Bernice. It’s her turn for a change :-) Maybe we are going to start learning something about Piro, soon, too.

It must be well after 1 am. Don’t these students have classes today? And Bernice has a big test that she never studied for. Good thing they will be in college for many years.

Dez left them alone many hours ago so they would have privacy. But she returns the second they start doing anything intimate.

She doesn’t look happy. Maybe she’s realizing that she thought she wanted this but now sees that maybe she really didn’t.

I’m still wondering where Piro spends his nights at. That, and who is the real thief is.

I’m so happy for Bernice. But…. who is stealing and breaking things in the dorm?

Please just let this lead to something sweet and good. We have enough depressing every day daily news in this world. We read the comics to enjoy ourselves. It is Spring – time to have some fun.

Still eww because I honestly think Piro did steal the TV by using Tiffany’s room and if he’s part of the vending machine break-in, he has an accomplish. I just don’t trust Piro, every time I see him sirens set off.

So what’s DEZ doing up fully dressed in the middle of the night? Surely must be going on 2am by now. This is definitely a dream she’s having.

Deer in the headlights look after getting caught during the kiss. But a lot has happened during the evening, so we can bet Bernice will surely tell Dez all about the events that transpired.

My take on this: Bernice, deep down, never really believed she would succeed with Piro. Too much tactics, not enough overall strategery. We know she doesn’t tolerate confusion all that well. She is a little like the dog that catches up with the car it is chasing.

You must remember this. A kiss is just a kiss.

Well Dez finally shows up in the wee hours. Bern should say “I’ll tell you my story if you tell me yours.”

Bernice looks so contemplative in panel 4. Now that her dream has been fulfilled (but probably not as she dreamed it) she’s trying to figure out why it feels different from the dream. The chase is over. The prey captured. Now what do I do?

I was expecting Tiffany, and that leaves a character string hanging out there, but I forgot about Dez. But I keep forgetting old Greg just loves that misdirection play. Or three card Monty if you want to go to sleight of hand. Let me just say I SINCERELY want this character to finally find happiness with a young man who has tons of prospects, and Dez, help Bee to realize that. I agree she needs happiness, which should help focus her. Like a said, as my fellow commentater pointed out, she needs a GOOD man BADLY (like my adverb here?).

I really like the artwork of Dez in the final panel.

Bernice’s stiffness does not bode well for her. We don’t know how long the kiss lasted, but if it went on for very long: Does it indicate her inability to respond to someone she cares about? Will Piro assume she is not interested in return?

“We just got out of jail.”

Still loving this arc. FYI on curfews: Different colleges have different rules. At my college, we could come home anytime we liked. But guests had to be out of the dorms by 11PM until noon the next day except on weekends.

I really hope this turns out well for Bernice. Oh and Piro too.

Nice!

Not much else needed, but “NICE!”

Des wants all the juicy details …. she’ll be disappointed when she learns there aren’t any!

I would liked to have seen the kiss last from the final panel, yesterday, through all 3 panels today, with Dez making her “Ooops” appearance only in today’s final panel. Bernice doesn’t have to move a muscle, just stand there transfixed. That would have created a real dramatic moment, not just a peck and run.

Being flexible in many ways, Dez now exclaims, “Let’s celebrate with a hall limbo party!” (I was just listening to the song “Limbo Rock”. “Hooooooooow looooooooooooooow can you gooooooo?”)

Speaking of halls: depending on how they divide up the rooms and the work, 213 might be on a different hall on that floor, with a different RA.

Being flexible in many ways, Dez now exclaims, “Let’s celebrate with a hall limbo party!” (I was just listening to the song “Limbo Rock”. “Hooooooooow looooooooooooooow can you gooooooo?”)

Speaking of halls: depending on how they divide up the rooms and the work, 213 might be on a different hall on that floor, with a different RA.
