Rather than cooperating to make sure the people can have the world’s best universal healthcare, US politicians disrespect each other and spend time and money opposing each other, not allowing any but the wealthiest access to the most overpriced and perhaps inefficient healthcare. Our politicians mock the sick and do not care if they lose their savings or their home as long as their precious ideology is imposed upon society.
Funny how the auditors agree that the ACA is in good shape but conservatives like Lisa keep yelling that it is failing. The only people suffering are the ones that live in states that refused to expand Medicaid and worked hard to limit and de-fund whatever they could of the ACA. You know, like prenatal care for women.
Shoulda put two Republicans on the sides of the toon, left and right, both holding gas cans. Yes, Republicans have actively worked and are actively working to poison the ACA, by selectively refusing to enforce the law.
Why they hate the concept so badly is inexplicable, unless it’s simply the color of Obama’s skin. There is no logical reason, you can’t set the house on fire and then run around yelling “see, it was a firetrap”.
Now, observe. The above demonstrates ACTIVE WORK by Republicans to run the insurers away from the ACA pools. How you do manage to put “see, it’s all coming apart” with “we’re working hard to force it to come apart” without anyone mentioning that you’re “regretting” what you WORKED TO CAUSE?
We have a case of two systems, one focused on medical care, one focused on low cost. Lisa, I have no problems betting my life on Obamacare. You go ahead and bet yours on Ryan. So how long you’ll live, saving all that $$$. Bye-bye!
Mo Brooks bill coming: “Effective as of Dec. 31, 2017, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is repealed, and the provisions of law amended or repealed by such Act are restored or revived as if such Act had not been enacted.” I hope it passes!
The Republicans may not have been able to destroy Obamacare by voting against it, but they will kill it with budget cuts, executive orders, etc. Those are all the same tools Democrats have used to protect all of the New Deal programs for decades, and would use to keep Obamacare in good shape if they were in control of the government. And, those attacks will cause Obamacare to fail. In fact, unless we get the Republicans out of DC, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, etc will also be attacked, because the money to lower taxes on the rich has to come from somewhere.
Obama Care passed without a single Republican vote in the house or senate.
Republicans had no,that is No, input in the writing of Obama Care.
Go watch the videos of Jonathan Gruber talking about writing Obama Care. it is working as planed. They made health care to expensive to use.
Our plan at work is over $500 a month and now $8000 in deductibles. Why pay $6000 a year for something that is too expensive to use?
In 2009 Obama and Pelosi praised Gruber for the job he was doing writing the bill.
A couple of years later when the video’s of Gruber talking about writing Obama Care surfaced they didn’t know who he was in spite of the video of them praising him.
No, Lisa is doing just what all good Republicans should be doing. Yelling that Obamacare is failing even when it’s not, so people will be too frightened to sign up, and that will make it really fail. And then we can blame them. It’s brilliant.
DENIS, the Repubs were asked for their input and several things they requested were included. The individual mandate and Medicaid expansion were in the 1989 original plan proposed by Heritage Foundation, a right-wing think tank.
.Gruber made some nasty comments about the stupidity of the American voter. And he said that people would object to paying into a system that others would benefit from. Trump as president proves the first statement and people like you prove the second.
Trumpcare didn’t even get this far, Obamacare isn’t doing this bad. The republicans are in charge now, this is what they wanted. Now that the dog has caught the car, it just has no clue what to do. Once the obstructionists gained control, the voters forgot to drain the swamp. These guys do not know how to legislate, they only know how to set things on fire.

Plain and simple — Lisa is NOT a reliable source of information! Her opinions are misleading at best.
