They say the same thing about peanut butter and tuna…and they’re right.

People used to say the Earth was flat, too, and we all know how that turned out.

Hoo, boy! We’re in for a big discussion! Took up a couple of day’s worth of comments over at PBS when Pig & Pigita broke up over this issue!

I never mix meat & dessert.

Pineapple + jalapeno actually does work on a pizza. The jalapeno is not optional, though.

After the debate over whether toilet paper goes over the top or comes out from the bottom, this is the main cause of divorce – infidelity and politics comes next.

My late wife was hardcore Italian, and refused the idea of pineapple pizza. Then one day at CiCi’s Pizza she couldn’t fight off the lure of pizza with mac and cheese on top. From then on, any kind of pizza was possible!

I don’t know of any pizza places that don’t have pineapple on their list of optional ingredients and wouldn’t buy from any that don’t. For me the best pizza is a blend of spicy (hot pepperoni), salty (feta cheese) and sweet (guess).

Till I read the comments, I couldn’t tell it was a pizza. Not enough toppings, Mark

I’ve had a “Hawaiian” pizza, and it was delicious. I like anchovies too. But hold the liver.

If you don’t think pineapple belongs on a pizza, try marshmallow peeps®

It’s amazing to me how divisive pineapple on pizza is for people. I personally love a pizza with pineapple and Canadian bacon on it but hey, if you don’t, it’s all good. It’s just pizza after all.

I like pineapple on pizza, but then again, I’m a little weird, so what do I know?

I know much of this discussion is in good fun, but consider this: The assumption that disliking a trivial thing requires you to hate and work to exterminate is essentially the same formula that leads to prejudice, bigotry, and even genocide.
