Ask the man who has one. Some are old, some are young, some get taught if they’re smart enough to ask.

I’d hang around older people, many of whom were not shy about regaling others with tales of their “missteps” and commiserating with each other: “Hoo boy, remember when…” Yes, I tried to take notes!

How many kids really think what adults say has any merit? I mean I had to get old to figure out how smart/wise my parents were.

a “failure” with a mop is a lot better than a successful lawyer or doctor ripping the public off with outrageous fees

When I was a teenager, I could hardly wait until I was an adult and knew all the answers. I’m now 72 and still waiting.

Frazz – you need to re-evaluate your idea of success. Labeling someone a failure because he is a janitor is elitist. We will always need janitors. It is long past time we stopped looking down our noses at them.

The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy: neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water. From what I’ve heard school custodian is a lot better job than most janitorial work.

Did Frazz have a gold record? I’ve never known any back story about him. He seems to love his job and those kids.
