I wonder if trump’s mental illness is contagious. His loyal followers seem to have caught the bug. Lying, exaggerating, dissembling. Somebody should pay to disrupt the lunacy. Unfortunately, the poor deluded trumpies think the protests are for pay. Such wishful thinking. We all know why people are upset. There’s a deranged man “leading” the White House and a craven co-conspiracy underway to co-opt his illness for political ends. Yikes, and we thought it couldn’t happen here.

All those paid protesters, must be the biggest most secret jobs program in the world.

People disagree with the way the GOP obstructed Garland. It would be a big step to healing the division if they gave him and up or down vote. But Republicans are cowards. The Democrats showed up when the TEA party was doing the same thing, and even got shot at. Americans want the ACA, and they want it improved. These are our representatives, and they should be working for us, not for moneyed interests.

@Brass Orchid — You identified the Socialist part okay, but you forgot to include the communist fascist part, and the Muslim part.

    Maybe next post.

    .

I mean, anyone who would want the ACA not repealed is obviously a socialist, communist, fascist, right? (and probably a Muslim)

Republicans paid the Tea Party to protest the ACA in 2009.

Brian, you also left out Sen. Toomey of PA. Since his reelection, he has been unavailable to his constituents in the Philadelphia area. Can’t get into his office to speak with anyone, no one answers the phones, the vice mail box is full and can’t accept more messages. He did hold a phone-in town hall meeting, announcing it 90 minutes before it started on Facebook. There’s even a group who go down each week for “Tuesday with Toomey”, none are paid to do so, they all have concerns they want the government to address.

Brass Orchid, IDs have been checked at the town halls and the vast majority are from the district. Your claims about paid protestors, especially the tiresome Soros reference, are false.

Our local representative and one senator hid out while away from Congress. The former did hold a ‘telephone town hall’ with selected phone numbers around evening mealtime. Questions were screened by flacks and no followups were allowed. That was definitely a display of the way you get the participation you wish to hear.

Gohmert is from Texas. He knows that a lot of people in Texas carry guns, both legally and illegally. His voters would vote for anyone with “R” next to their name, so he doesn’t care if he looks chicken (and he is) for not showing up at a Town Hall Meeting.
