Do barn owls shriek in other parts of the country? The ones I’ve run across out here hiss. Like snakes.

Once in a ranch, during a full moon, a big owl dived from the top of wharehouse, planned just above ground towards me and lifted off like 12 feet from me. It scared the bejesus out of me!

A screech owl is a pretty eerie thing to hear if you’re out in the woods at night.

They’re always walking. Don’t they own a car and it seems that they live close to everything but you never see any other buildings.
