With Deplorable Don, smart is not a word that comes to mind.

He likes smart deals, like not paying workers and bullying them in court. That is not a deal, that is breaking a deal. Like how he is about to “renegotiate” NAFTA. Let’s hope he is better at “making deals” than he is at “counting crowds”.

And he STILL hasn’t, and WON’T, bring his own jobs back to job starved textile manufacturing areas. But that doesn’t matter, he’ll bring back MY job, right?

His definition of a smart deal is money in “his” pocket.. to heck with the cost to the other guy. Capitalism at its best..

Progressives have been clamoring about raising tariffs since the Bush years cuz the jobs went away when they were lowered. Now Trump suggests raising them and it suddenly becomes a bad idea. I will understand some of you people.

I’ll start to think about supporting him when he stops buying steel and aluminum from China for his new buildings, and buys from American Companies.

The US needs to get it through its thick skull that we cannot compete in manufacturing any more. Corporations will always find cheaper labor elsewhere in the world. First there was Japan, then Taiwan, Bangladesh, China, India, etc., etc. There will always be other countries to exploit paying $3 per hour. Or, totally replaced with automation. The Industrial Revolution is over.

The US is now a service, innovation, and R&D country.

Labor jobs coming back is another Trump lie.

And whatever manufacturing does come back will be automated. That has been the big source of job loss, a fact that is recognized internationally (but apparently not by Trump and Co.).

Douglas Holtz Aiken, economic advisor to John McCain: Trump’s economic ideas are fundamentally incoherent.

We need to remember that even though Trump is not intelligent, he does have an effective form of low animal cunning. How else can you explain that he was born rich and stayed that way?

Donny Dumpster is ready and moving to put the whole country in the dumpster, for the benefit of his 1% folks. Ah, those overseas accounts where THEY stash THEIR money!
