I use the internet to read comics , and check the weather

I know there is a whole lot more out there, but do I really want to see it?

For thousands of years, mankind had very little information available. There were few sources, and most people couldn’t read anyway. For a couple hundred years, we at least thought we were being told the truth, making it easy for the general population to make conclusions that at least we based on the same “facts”, which may or may not have been truth. Now, everyone with an opinion can tell millions of people about it. That creates a situation where there is no agreed upon truth. Everyone can choose the version that scares them the least, or at least justifies their fear. I prefer this to an agreed upon truth, presented by the powers that be to pacify the masses. It’s chaotic, but it’s real.

No, you’ve got that reversed. Twitter is for lies, Facebook for facts.

It’s not social media which causes problems. It’s the PEOPLE who use it.

    It’s always the people.
