    Morning, Village!

    .

I really enjoyed yesterday’s guest speaker, Don Piper. He’s the author of 90 Minutes In Heaven. He was killed in a car wreck and declared dead. After an hour and a half, he came back. After several years of surgery and rehabilitation, he talks about his visit to heaven. It was a very interesting and very moving.

    Hi Vagabonds

    .

Five or so degrees above zero this morning.

We got ten gallons of diesel fuel to run the furnace, that ran out last night so we’re now waiting for a delivery today. Don’t, I say don’t run out of fuel on the weekend.

    .

I see sunlight on the ridge and on the windmills there on.

    .

New equipment for snow boarders, new binders that snap on like some skis, one problem, you need new boots to go with them, binders and boots $600 +. Glad I’m not a skier.

    .

With that I’ll say so long and see ya.

    .

    Good Morning, Vagabonds,

Watching playoff games with the Steelers is a must in this household…….Jack is from Pittsburgh, and has been an avid fan all his life. So, last night it was actually a fun game, right up to the last minute!

Chris, I was thinking of you, and how they postponed the game until later in the day because of the ice storm. Fortunately it hit south of KC and wasn’t a problem. Glad it wasn’t a big deal for you, too.

Jack is normally a quiet, shy person. But, over the years he has been given many Steelers T-shirts, sweatshirts, gloves, etc. Well, when he wears one of them out in public, people flock to him and he comes out of his shell! I get such a kick out of how many Steeler fans there are!

    Good morning, Vagabonds….

@ david – I may see if I can find a copy of Piper’s book. Some years ago, a friend and I used to go to NDE* meetings here in this area. It was run by two women, one an m.d. and the other a psychologist. The testimony that I’ll remember forever was given by a Jesuit priest who was the chaplain at the local Catholic hospital.

@ dkrm – Your stories about your weather and fuel situation have been brrrrry interesting!

    Good morning, Vagabonds.

It’s Monday and laundry day. Other than that, nothing is happening here today. Michael is still down with his head cold, so I’m walking on eggshells not to disturb his sleep. He crashed in the living room, so I had a chance to change the bed linens. Now all I have to do is convince him to change nightclothes too, then perhaps go back to bed so I can take care of the rest of the house.

It’s about 45, headed up to 55. No rain in the forecast so maybe I’ll go for a walk later.

    Everyone have a blessed day.
