I agree with the first three commenters. However, some believe that to hang one this way allows it to release its luck onto those walking underneath it.

I didn’t know there’s a certain way to hang a horseshoe. I personally don’t have one.
I always heard the ends should point up as well. Hope it doesn’t fall off and hit Mavis on the head…
A horseshoe should ALWAYS point up!!
Horseshoes are for superstitious people. I’m glad I don’t believe in things like that, knock on wood.

I just looked at my horses’ feet, and their shoes aren’t pointed up OR down. Don’t know if that means they’re lucky or not…
