Alice: Why am I having so much trouble deciding what to be for Halloween? All I need is a costume that expresses who I am and shakes loose some candy. Adults are a sentimental lot, easily swayed by anything cute. What would appeal to their weakness for the adorable? OF COURSE! The answer's been right in front of me all this time, because I left it lying on the floor! I'll be a Pangolin!

A cute lil girl in an animal costume will clean up, even in a pangolin costume. As a plus, everyone knows pangolins like Mars bars, while if she went as a bear, people would give her fish, or pancakes if she went as a badger. Alice would make a cute badger, though.

I’d still like Halloween if people made their costumes. The feather mask of my cockatoo costume got moths in it so I’ll eventually make a new one.

It’s a sure winner! People who don’t know she’s a pangolin (almost everybody) will think she’s a giant pine cone, which is almost as adorable.
