Considering how many people actually make that mistake, I think Mrs. Olsen is in the right here. As much as I like Frazz and Caulfield, they are often pretentious little $4!+$ who neither properly appreciate the natural intelligence and supportive home environment they were given nor the fact that others aren’t blessed by the same things.

I think you misinterpretted. Frazz is speaking to Caulfield. As in, “It’s and Its is stuff everybody knows? You’re kidding, right?” He was agreeing with you.
And they’ve never belittled anyone for not being as smart as them. With the exception of Hacker, who is just a moron, or Olsen, who only catches it when she is inept by any standard.
Add in the fact that ALL the children generally display an intelligence level far above 8 yr olds and it sounds more like you’re just complaining for complaining’s sake.
