Father O'Kittery: Never fear, Kit. I still have a few lives left. How can I help you, my kitten? Kit: We need to save Snowball Taggart. Father O'Kittery: Snowball Taggart? Married my one true love and forced me into the priesthood, Snowball Taggart? Snowball: What is this?! A who's who of poor cats I don't want near my family?! Father: Well, it's Christmas! If you can't save your enemies at Christmas, who can you save? Snowball: How dare you? You're my enemy!

I kind of like revisiting Elvis’ Christmas special every day at 1am EST even if it does mean I have to wait until morning for the next installment of Our IX Lives.

Every strip in this series is funnier than the last! Now we have Father O’ Kittery the kindly old priest! Who entered the priesthood because his one true love married Snowbabb Taggert! What a soap!

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding when these Christmas specials are a wee bit late after midnight! It is very appreciated! I’m painting tomorrow’s strip today during nap time—this is how live-to-the-minute the action is! Haha!
Today’s depiction of “Cat” in the painting Father O’Kittery is admiring is based on the Siamese cat we had when I was growing up. He was a great big fat sweetheart, and he lived to be 17! He was the smartest cat I’ve ever encountered, and I still miss him like crazy. His name was Roscoe and he was, and will always be, a good boy. I’ve wanted to find a way to work him into the comic for sometime, and this seemed like a sweet way to honor him. I thought you all might like to know who that sweet fat little fuzzball is!
(And yes, the other picture is the Golden Mouse! She appeared one other time in this special ;) )
