Actually, Brewster is missing one word…interpersonal. Comments and flame wars aren’t communication, they’re just blather. Interpersonal communication, however, is much more fulfilling. That said, let the flame wars commence.
part of the problem is nobody has an internal filter anymore.it used to be, you’d think of something, then a little internal filter would tell you it’s probably not a good idea to say that. So you’d keep your mouth shut, as you probably should do most of the time.nowadays, people think up something and it pops out the mouth in about 5 milliseconds. That little internal filter has atrophied away from lack of use.we really should consider ourselves lucky with our online forums that so many people are such slow typists!
I usually pause before I hit ‘send’ to think if this thought would help. With the editorial comments I feel like I’m walking through no-man’s land between the trenches, hoping I don’t take fire from either side.What the heck happened to this country? (the USA)
