On grammar, let’s just take the first panel. If the quote was “nobody has better toys than I”, you could understand it as elliptical for “than I have”, meaning that Trump has the best toys. And that’s probably what he was trying to say..But what he actually said was “nobody has better toys than me”. This can only mean that he considers himself a toy; in fact, he considers himself the best toy, or at least the best toy that anyone “has”. Which raises the question, who “has” him as their toy?

What’s scary is that all Trudeau put in this strip is word for word out of Trumps’ mouth except for the "humility quote. What’s even more terrifying is that one reporter (I think it was) actually got access to one of Trump’s campaign rally’s and said it was like being at a Nuremburg (sp?) rally from the 30’S from how the audience was shouting and responding to Trump’s words. Mainstream Republicans who now shun and distance themselves from Trumps only have themselves to blame for his rise and the discourse coming from their own base. What is that saying, “You reap what you sew”, or something along those lines?

@mugens: The German spelling is Nürnberg; for English, Nuremberg is quite correct. That aside, the site of the Nuremberg rallies are now the “Dokumentationszentrum Reichsparteitagsgelände”, a museum which documents Germany’s fall into collective madness.

As a voting American (and long-time German resident), I can only hope we won’t have a future need for “documentation centers”.

Those who dislike Hillary base their dislike on what others have told them about her, much of which is untrue; those who dislike The Donald base their dislike on what he has told us about himself.

Looks like Hillary gets more Nixonian every day. Funny, though, next to the current GOP bar, Nixon appears progressive, open-minded, and of less than average paranoia.

I’m not Trump fan (to put it kindly). I like to “share” such information.

But can Trudeau or someone knowledgeable verify that these quotes are valid? If not Trudeau, URL’s would be nice.

While these quotes DEFINITELY sound like Trump, I want to be correct. After all, it IS a cartoon strip.

All of these quotes of trump were distributed widely across mainstream media and filmed of trump speaking directly.

He probably does know quite a lot about taxes – if you mean how to evade them. And along those same lines, i will give him his debt statement.

But it’s true, Donald is better than himself!
