I love how the kitten is laying with her chin in her paws, and her cute back paws.

Crabby, maybe, but a guard needs a certain amount of crabbiness, and Elvis knows his duty is to guard the place and everyone therein.

Lupin is deaf, Puck is missing a leg, so they can’t do the job properly. The people? Don’t be ridiculous! Their senses are feeble, they are slow, clumsy, and (being human) not too bright. Anyway, when was the last time you saw a human get puffy?

No, only Elvis can do it.

We had a very grumpy semi-feral rescue that didn’t tolerate humans until his senior years and rarely cared about other adult cats but he was the absolute best cat uncle. He’d let fosterlings play and even sleep on him, he’d watch them and seemed to be teaching them how to ‘cat’.
