Which is basically spend as much as you can and cut taxes when you are in power so the country runs a deficit. Then they start cutting public programs (like education) because the deficit is so large. When the cons are out of power start screaming about how high the deficit is so that the dems are forced to raise taxes to offset the debt. Then scream about the dems raising taxes, further demagogueing the other party.
And that’s why you have guys like Ramirez drawing toons like the one at the top of the page.
OK, how about we just look at the last GOP trickery in the whitehouse. For instance, the cost of both wars (borrow and spend) did not show up in the budget under Bush.
