Lemme guess…and the original name of Space Invaders was, “Goblin Strike.”

I remember “Pong” but don’t recall it featuring unicorns. The Shield of Boringness must have been programmed into the game software.

Actually pong was not the first game. Space war was in 1962. Pong wasnt out until 1972.

As a Game Master, I could say how wrong is that… but also, I don’t expect the origin of video games be a subject everyone knows in detail.

So…you’re telling me I was actually COOL when I was sitting there, wondering when SOMETHING might happen other than ‘blip’, ‘bloop’, ‘blup’? Other than burning a pattern into the TV tube if I left it on and inactive, I mean.

Typical unicorns, always trying to steal credit for every major invention in history, I bet an unicorn invented the light bulb first too

Sigh. And there you have the difference between humans and Unicorns: They get the beautiful “Glimmering Volley” (yes, absolutely with glitter and stars and rainbows). We get the less euphonious but undoubtedly onomatopoeic Pong. Sigh.

I expected The Glimmering Volley to have been invented by Ellen Alicorn
