You mean other than “Clinton balanced the budget with a projected surplus in 10 years, and we can’t let him get away with it”? Or “The previous administration wasn’t paying enough attention to the threat of Al-Qaida”?

News links that old tend to be in Paid Subscriber Only archives.

You kidding, peter? He blamed EVERYTHING on Clinton! Lord knows he never admitted any fault himself. And that is documented fact, when he was asked if he had made any mistakes while in office…

Jon Stewart: Fox & Friends: Blame Clinton

    http://www.truth-out.org/article/clinton-911-and-facts

Not to mention I’ve also seen Righties here mention that among other things, the housing mess, 9/11, and Afghanistan are Clinton’s fault.

thanks, Peter the Great! I cannot remember even one single time that the Great GW publicly blamed “the previous administration”!!!

Fact: after the GOP gained the majority in the House, the constitutional authority for originating all federal spending, in the 1994 election, beginning Jan.1995, they held Clinton’s feet to the fire, as they were in the beginning of their majority—later abandoned—being true to the vote-winning Contract With America…10 promises that they tried to keep….including lower spending by the Federal Government.

Prez Clinton signed the GOP spending bills, and then got credit for the one or two years without a Deficit…!!!

GW, not a Contract Republican, may not have signed so much spending, if 9/11/01 in his first year had not happened. A defensive War is not cheap.

And in 2006, the Dems re-won their majority in the House, and we see the spending since the date of Jan.2007.

go to any website on “federal deficits” and you will see that the Bush deficits are “small change” compared to the Dems/Obama deficits!

Have you noticed something? Not ONE of the righties here is bashing this cartoon with anything but, ” because I said so!* Not one of them has offered anthing to back up their claims. Not Machado not Howdy, not any single one of them

And BTW, Morin is not saying that BUSH blamed Clinton for everything. So let’s get petergrt’s little attempt at misdirection out of the way right now.

But did the Righties blame everything that went wrong under Bush on Clinton? Oh yes. “Clinton let Osama go.” “Clinton said Saddam had Wmds.” Clinton this, clinton that, Cltinon the other.

As for ANandy….Neo Socialist is that great big word what sounds real good when he says it.

if giving the real facts is equal to “blaming”..yes some GOP tried to correct the MSMedia myths…

The House Democrats plus agreeable Dem. prezs were in fact responsible for the Fannie/Freddie and administration and congressional pressure on lenders to make loans without the traditional credit “proof” that the borrower could and would repay the home loan.

Businesses must satisfy the federal government….or be targets of punishing taxes and regulations.

I saw a statistic that 75% of the “toxic loans” that created the real estate bubble burst, were in the hands of the federal agencies. So private lenders only participated in holding 25% of the bailed-out loans.

Fact, Prez Clinton’s responses to terrorist acts against the USA were wimpy, ineffective, and amounted to a “show” of “save face” retaliation….single bombing of a target at night when only the janitor was present! In Africa!

When our government shows itself weak and wimpy, the terrorists are encouraged to plan and do more.

Terrorists are at this moment planning to do more, and now they may be planning IN THE STREET TERRORIST ACTS inside the USA.

Weak and Wimpy does not protect US security.

Let’s see: the toon has GWB blaming Clinton 5 times, while 0bama blaming GWB 1.

And you, intellectual giants still cannot produce a single actual instance of GWB blaming Clinton.

Motive, you keep yapping about documented facts, yet produce none, GWB’s failure to acknowledge any mistake(s) notwithstanding - it hardly means that he blamed Clinton.

    Common guys!

I’ll expand the challenge: Produce a documented GWB rant against any of his domestic detractors.

After all, this mean-spirited GOP SOB must have left some traces of the venom you lefties like to extol so much - PUT UP!!!

Don’t blame me. I voted for Ford.

Stewart recently showed a clip of President Ford admonishing Congress for failing to act toward energy independence.

If we can’t get a third party, at least throw all the bums out & let’s try it with red State Democrats & blue State Republicans for a while.

These are not portraits of Bush and Obama, these are generalized pictures symbolizing democrats and republicans. Did (and do) republicans blame previous democratic administrations for the nation’s problems? For your answer, see DT’s post above.

Hey, Disgusting - Since when did Iraq become a “defensive war”? Iraq never attacked us. Bin Laden and Al Kaida were in Afghanistan and the World Trade bombers were mostly from Saudi Arabia, none from Iraq. The only reason Shrub invaded Iraq was because Saddam dissed his Daddy. GW’s war in Iraq was, and is, purely offensive (in more ways than one).

Petergrt - We can’t find Shrub’s quotes because he never said much of anything except “Mission Accomplished” and “I did not go AWOL with that cocaine.”

Defense … against Iraq? Riiiight. And on that note, let’s try this: “Obama may not have signed so much spending, if he wasn’t inheriting a borderline 2nd Great Depression, 2 wars, a tanking & education medical system, and a busted financial system … which had all happened before his first year. Economic recovery is not cheap.”
