In the past, coffee tasted wonderful, and could be flavored with a liquer.
Today either the coffee beans are flavored with a preservative, or with a liquer which is flavored with a preservative (this includes almost all liquers).
So if you drink coffee and you feel bloated or ill, it is probably the preservative.
However, there are coffee beans available which have not been modified by preservatives. And the coffee made from them is wonderful….
