It’s just a minor bug; I’m sure it’ll be fixed in the next version.

I tried to fine a GPS that would mount on my bicycle, but the only ones I could find cost more than the bike.

SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED gave me a defective GPS. It kept saying “go south.” “Go south.” Maybe it was programed.

True story: Upper MN they had replaced a road and moved it west about 100 feet. the GPS kept telling me to return to the road surface.

    I swear I can hear mine give a huge sigh of disgust when I don’t obey it. MAKE A U-TURN, MAKE A U-TURN, MAKE A U-TURN!

My first GPS was out of date when I got it. US78 in Alabama recently was straightend and widened to four lane limited access. The old route is as much as a mile away. Every time I took it, Bertha, my GPS, would have brain f@rts. Oh well.

I was driving through Indianapolis a couple of years ago, and they evidently had moved the interstate recently. My GPS kept thinking I was on some side street, so was going nuts trying to get me back on route when I was already on the highway. Thankfully, it was obvious to me that it was newly constructed road I was on, so I didn’t get as rattled, even though I’m not familar with that city.

This would be hilarious except that “Real Life Adventures” did a VERY similar theme several months ago.

never program the GPS for “most direct route” when you have a whole bunch of dirt roads in the desert

Ha ha, love it! It reminds me of my friend who was driving us to a restaurant only a kilometre away but her GPS insisted that we get onto the highway and head for Montreal - all because there was a street and suburb with the same name there. She would not listen to me, insisted the GPS was always right, and it took us an hour and a half to go that one kilometre.

My GPS says “retry calculation,” except retry is pronounced like it rhymes with “wet tree.”

After several trips from OK to MA and back, the GPS in our brains said “Avoid Indianapolis at all costs.”
