“What I don’t like from the president’s administration is this sort of, ‘I’ll put my boot heel on the throat of BP. I think that sounds really un-American in his criticism of business. I’ve heard nothing from BP about not paying for the spill. And I think it’s part of this sort of blame-game society in the sense that it’s always got to be someone’s fault instead of the fact that sometimes accidents happen.”
—Rand Paul
Yes BP had a spill BUT, “KING DITHER” refused help from all the people who could have helped within three days. So WHO is realy at fault for MOST of the damage?Lets sue the BOZO and his cronies personaly for criminal liability.
Oh, give it a rest. BP cut corners, ignored advice, violated vast numbers of safety regs, killed people, tried to cover up and lie about the amount being spewed - and it’s all Obama’s fault?
Cripes, what a bunch of eyewash.
As much as I disagree with CHURCH (and boy did he pound on me) he tries to provide supporting information and facts, while most Far Right posters completely undermind him by just using any toon, or comment as chance to attack Obama .
I am hopeing that by November that most Americans will be so tired of all of this division and negativity that they will give the GOP a well deserved kick in the butt.
Daves, what you say makes sense only if Obama not only knew the full extent of the damage but also could foresee how well (or not) BP would do.
Yes, I do believe the US government should be more active and approach more sources for aid. Yes, more needs to be done. On the other hand, call me a cynic, but I am quite sure that if it had, you and most of the people who now write “why didn’t he call for aid” would blast him for spending US taxpayer money, hiring international (gasp, European) companies, and otherwise betraying US interests.
Considering that Obama, like Condoleeza Rice deferring foreign assistance to the Red Cross before him during Katrina, denied help from foreign aid in this matter, namely trollers from Sweden–this is an example of “sound decisive leadership”.
Bring the President down? Palin is just as dumb as he is. I mean, with his incompetence and cerebral detachment, and political wiles a la Daley, like the Devil has repeatedly said to mankind, “You guys have done a great job without me!”

ROFL!
BP ‘had a spill’. That;s like saying the dog who took a dump on yer carpet ‘had an accident.”
And does this mean the cons going to take back all those shrill demands for smaller government and less regulation?
And all those chants of , “Drill Baby Drill!” ?

When Palin is you’re best hope for the future you gotta do something to bring the President down, even when you know it’s a bald face lie.
