We used to do things like cart the counselor’s bed down to the lake shore, and put him on the end of the pier. Or, stuff his sleeping mouth with dirty socks, or put small, active, wildlife under his covers. (The mice did a wonderful job between the placement and the discovery, the crawdad wasn’t so industrious), etc. I learned quickly, before I was given the job of camp counselor, to be cool with the kids and they would be cool back. (I still found a king snake in my bed one night, but I know that they are harmless to humans so I let him stay.)
