Gee, Rory is forces to drink from a trough like a common barnyard animal. Wait, Rory is a common (?) barnyard animal, abet a cute one. Don’t you know that all the microscopic critters in the water keep your immune system up?That’s what my other tells me when I am fed leftovers.
Years ago as I was checking out with a couple six packs of bottled water the young lady told me several people were buying this stuff and she wanted to know if I thought it tasted good… I told her it didn’t taste like anything and that’s why I was buying it! To which she asked me why I would waste my money if it didn’t taste good?
Water is colorless, tasteless and odorless if the water your drinking is anything but then there is something wrong with it and as a truck driver at that time it was better to buy bottled water then to take the chance of upsetting your stomach with water I didn’t know about!
And yet people will pay lots of money for bottled water but not take water from a tap right beside the water cooler. I wish I could have thought of this scam.
In western Missouri near Kansas City, we called them water troughs, horse tanks, water tanks and there were feed troughs too for feed…guess it doesn’t matter that much and how did we get on this subject?

Trouble was, seems they would rather drink from the stagnant mud puddle in the barnyard than walk the extra 50 feet to get the spring water from the fountain inside the barn. However, we were the stupid ones. We had a wonderful spring and should have sold the water instead of processing it through the dairy.
